Reinstalling the headlight assembly Fig. 171 Anchors 1 and connector plug 2 of the left headlight assembly. Fig. 172 In the engine compartment: Release lever for the left headlight. ¤Please first read and note the introductory information and heed the WARNINGS Please carry out each step only in the order specified: 1. Please review and follow the checklist 2. Connect the headlight assembly connector plug ⇒ fig. 171 (2). 3. Slide the four headlight assembly anc(1ho) irsn to the four slots in the headlight opening. 4. Secure the headlight assembly. Use the Phillips screwdriver from the vehicle tool kit to turn the release lever ⇒ fig. 168 (1). 5. Turn the screwdriver about 50° in the direction of the symbol ⇒ fig. 172 (in the direction of W the arrow), until you hear a “click” (turn clockwise for the left headlight; turn counterclockwise for the right headlight). 6. Make sure that the red mark on the release lever is no longer visible. If you can still see the red mark on the release lever, the headlight assembly is not installed correctly and you must reinstall it.
