5-2. Steps to take in an emergency CAUTION n When using the spare tire lRemember that your spare tire specifically isigned for use deswith your vehicle. Do not use your spare tire on another vehicle. lDo not use two spare tires simultaneously. lReplace the spare tire with a standard tire as soon as possible. lAvoid sudden acceleration, deceleration and braking, as well as sharp cornering. n Speed limit when using the compact spare tire Do not drive at speeds in excess of 50 mph (80 km/h) when a compact spare tire is installed on the vehicle. The compact spare tire is not designed for driving at hi gh speeds. Failing to observe this precaution may lead to an accident. n When the spare tire is attached The vehicle speed may not be correctly detected, and the following sys- tems may not operate correctly: lABS & Brake assist lEnhanced VSC lNavigation system 446 PRIUS_U_(L/O_0802)
