NOTE 9. Press the eyebolt against the sector
l After the bolt is clear of the hole, keep the gear.
Allen wrench level while pulling it out with
the bolt attached so as to prevent the bolt Eyebolt Sector gear
from hitting the vehicle and dropping. Guide
l Bring the removed bolt to an Authorized
MazdaDealer. If you drop the bolt in the
vehicle by mistake, contact an Authorized
MazdaDealer.
6. Tighten the eyebolt by turning it
clockwise 5 more times.

rearward to release the lock.

7. Unscrew the eyebolt now by turning it
counterclockwise.
8. Insert the threaded end of the eyebolt
through the guide.
CAUTION
Whenreleasing the sector gear lock
using the eyebolt, make sure the
eyebolt remains centered as you push
it against the sector gear lock. If the
eyebolt slips it could cause your hand
to veer and hit the vehicle resulting in
minor scrapes or bruises.

whenthelock is released.
12. Do the same procedure on the other
side.
