The third generation Hyundai i30 was presented in the autumn of 2016 at the Salon in Frankfurt. The car was constructed with the participation of German constructors in the European branch of the brand in Russelsheim, and the head of the designers was commanded by the long-term designer Kii, Peter Schreyer. The car gained less rounded, and the more subdued, more corners figure with references to the appearance of such brand cars as the latest Hyundai Tucson in terms of dimensions at the same wheelbase, the third incarnation of the Korean compact has grown both in length, width and height. A characteristic element of the look is the large, hexagonal grill that is the hallmark of the last Hyundai. In the middle the vehicle has a touch screen serving, among others support for radio and air conditioning. The motor offer consists of one diesel and three gasoline units. The latest i30 incarnation went on sale in February 2017, and from the second quarter the vehicle will be, like the previous generation, also offered in North America as Hyundai Elantra GT. The body and special versions of the third incarnation i30 were successively supplemented with the following months of 2017. In March 2017 at the Geneva Motor Show a station wagon was presented, while in the second half of the year the offer was joined by the first in the history of the brand performance variant N competing among others with Volkswagen Golf GTi and Ford Focus RS. The last point of the development of the third generation i30 range was presented in the middle of July liftback, the first such a compact class car for years. The body is called by the manufacturer the nickname of fastback.
