1986 Volvo 740 GL, GLE, Turbo 3. Remove Phillips screws and rim. Lift out the headlamp unit. 4. Disconnect the socket contact. Installation is done by reversing the procedure. Check headlight alignment. pg. 70 Replacing bulbs Replacing bulbs, front Access to the bulbs is obtained from the engine compartment. 1 Switch off the lights and starting (ignition) key. 2 Do not remove the connector from the bulb holder. Turn the bulb holder slightly counterclockwise and withdraw the bulb holder and bulb. 3 Remove the bulb from the holder by pressing in and turning slightly counterclockwise. 4 Insert a new bulb and install the bulb holder.
