REAR VIEW MIRRORS Operation of the interior rear-view mirror II Switch on the ignition and press 2 1 button 1. • Warning lamp 2 on (switch on): automatic mode. • Warning lamp 2 off: automatic mode off. The mirror stays at its lightest setting. Note: For optimal vision, the inte- rior rear-view mirror lightens when reverse gear is engaged. AUTOMATIC INTERIOR REAR-VIEW MIRROR This provides an automatic and progressive transition between day and night use . To prevent glare, the mirror auto- matically darkens in relation to the intensity o f light coming from the rear. It becomes lighter as soon as the bri ghtness diminishes, therefore ensuring optimum visibility. 62
