TiedownHook 3. Securely install the tiedown eyelet
using the lug wrench.
CAUTION
Donotusethefrontandrear
tiedown eyelets for towing the
vehicle.
They have been designed only for
securing the vehicle to a transport
vessel during shipping.
Using the eyelets for any other
purpose could result in the vehicle
being damaged. Lug wrench
qTiedownHook-Front 4. Hook the tying rope to the tiedown
TypeA eyelet.
1. Remove the tiedown eyelet and the lug
wrench from the trunk (page 7-3).
2. Wrap the lug wrench with a soft cloth
to prevent damage to the bumper and
remove the cover located on the front
bumper.
CAUTION
ØIfthetiedowneyelet is not securely
tightened, it may loosen or
disengage from the bumper when
tying down the vehicle. Make sure
that the tiedown eyelet is securely
NOTE tightened to the bumper.
Removethecovercompletely and store it so asØThefronttiedownhookis
not to lose it. designed only for lashing the
vehicle during overseas transport.
Donotusethefronttiedownhook
for any other use such as
transporting the vehicle on trucks
or railway.
