Connect the jumper cables in the exact SKYACTIV-G 2.0 sequence as in the illustration. Cowl grille Tab l Connect one end of a cable to the positive terminal on the discharged Hole battery (1). l Attach the other end to the positive terminal on the booster battery (2). l Connect one end of the other cable to the negative terminal of the booster battery (3). l Connect the other end to the ground point indicated in the illustration awayfromthedischarged battery (4). MZR2.0,MZR2.3DISITurboand 5. Start the engine of the booster vehicle MZR2.5 and run it a few minutes. Then start the Cowl grille Tabs engine of the other vehicle. 6. When finished, carefully disconnect the Holes cables in the reverse order described in the illustration. 7. Install the battery cover. CAUTION ØDonotuseatoolwhichapplies excessive force such as a screwdriver or pliers. 2 Attach the clips on both sides of If excessive force is applied to the the battery cover. clips, they could be damaged. Toprevent damaging the battery cover, install the battery cover using the following procedure. 1 Being careful not to contact the cowl grille, insert the tabs on the one end of the battery cover into the holes of the battery tray and engage the tabs.
