4-3. Do-it-yourself maintenance Air conditioning filter The air conditioning filter must be changed regularly to maintain air condi- tioning efficiency. STEP 1 Set the air conditioning system to recirculated air mode. (→P. 190, 197) The air conditioning fieltr case cannot be removed with the system in the outside air mode. STEP 2 Turn the ignition switch to the “LOCK” position. STEP 3 Open the glove box. (→P. 210) STEP 4 Remove the filter cover. 4 STEP 5 Remove the filter case. M a i n te na nc e a n d ca re STEP 6 Remove the air conditioning filter from the filter case and replace it with a new one. The “↑UP” marks shown on the fil- ter and the filter case should be pointing up. 283 LFA_U
