CAUTION 4. Push the ignition switch while depressing
the brake pedal within 10 seconds after the
chime sounds. The engine will start.
Donotleave the vehicle with the push-
button ignition switch in ACC or ON After step 3 is performed, when the ignition
position whentheengineisnotrunning switch is pushed without depressing the brake
for an extended period. This can dis- pedal, the ignition switch position will change to
charge the battery. ACC.
NOTE:
. When the ignition switch is pushed to
the ACCorONpositionortheengineis
started by the above procedures, the
Intelligent Key system warning light
may blink in yellow even if the Intelli-
SSD0860 gent Key is inside the vehicle. This is
INTELLIGENT KEY BATTERY DIS- not a malfunction. To stop the warning
CHARGE light from blinking, touch the ignition
switch with the Intelligent Key again.
If the battery of the Intelligent Key is discharged,.If the Intelligent Key system warning
or environmental conditions interfere with thelight in the meter is blinking in green,
Intelligent Key operation, start the engine
according to the following procedure: replacethebatteryassoonaspossible.

1.Move the selector lever to the P (Park)in the “8. Maintenance and do-it-your-
position (for Continuously Variable Trans-self” section.)
