Shift Lock Release COVER 4. Insert the key in the Shift Lock
This allows you to move the shift Release slot.
lever out of Park if the normal
methodof pushingonthebrake
pedal and pressing the release
button does not work.
1. Set the Parking brake.
2. Removethekeyfromtheignition
switch.

3. Put a cloth on the edge of the Shift ing
LockReleaseslot cover next to
theshiftlever.Useasmallflat-
tipped screwdriver or finger nail
file to remove the cover. Carefully
pryofftheedgeofthecover.
