You cannot automatictransmissioncontrol shift out of Park when the ignition system. Avoid rapid acceleration and switch is in the LOCK (0) or havethetransmissioncheckedby ACCESSORYposition(I). yourdealerassoonaspossible. Toshiftfrom: Dothis: Shifting PtoR Press the brake pedal and press the release button. SHIFTLEVER RtoP NtoR Press the release button. 3 Dto2 Theseindicatorsbetweenthetacho- 2to1 meterandspeedometershowwhich 1to2 3 position the shift lever is in. 2toD 3 DtoD The‘‘D’’ indicator comes on for a DtoN Movethelever. 3 fewsecondswhenyouturnthe DtoD ignition switch to ON (II). If it NtoD flashes while driving (in any shift RtoN position), it indicates a possible probleminthetransmission. 178
