RECOMMENDEDSAEVISCOSITY Air conditioning system refrigerant NUMBER and lubricant recommendations TheairconditioningsysteminthisNISSAN vehicle must be charged with the refriger- ant HFC-134a (R-134a) and the lubricant, Nissan A/C System Oil Type S or the exact equivalents. Use of any other refrigerant or lubricant will cause severe damage and you will need to replace your vehicle’s entire air conditioning system. The new refrigerant HFC-134a (R-134a) in your NISSAN vehicle will not harm the earth’s ozonelayer. Although this refrigerant does not affect the earth’s atmosphere, certain govern- mental regulations require the recovery and recycling of any refrigerant during automotive air conditioning system service. Your NISSAN dealer has the trained technicians and equip- ment needed to recover and recycle your air conditioning system refrigerant. Contact your NISSAN dealer when servicing your air conditioning system. TI1028-B TI1002M I SAE 5W-30 viscosity oil is preferred forI 80W-90 is preferable for ambient tem- all temperatures.
