Activating Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)• WhenpushingtheRESUME/ACCELswitchwithouta
You can only activate ACC if the vehicle speed is abovepreviously set speed in memory.

When the system is turned on and in the READY state,PushandreleasetheON/OFF/MODEbuttonlocatedon
the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) dis-the end of the speed control lever. The ACC menu in the 3
plays “ACC READY.” EVIC displays “ACC READY.”
When the system is OFF, the EVIC displays “CRUISE
OFF.”
NOTE: You cannot enable ACC under the following
conditions:
• When you apply the brakes.
• When the parking brake is set.
• When the automatic transmission is in PARK, RE-
VERSE, or NEUTRAL.
• When the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) is
switched off.
