2007 Volvo XC70 Removing the center backrest Models with the optional 3-section rear seat - Press the control at the top of the center section to the rear to release the locking mechanism. - Fold the backrest section slightly forward. - Pull up on the handle at the upper rear side of the backrest (see illustration above) to release this section of the backrest from the retaining bar at the base of the backrest. - Lift out the backrest. pg. 98 Interior Extending the cargo area Using the center section as an armrest The center section of the backrest can be reversed and used as an armrest. - Remove the center backrest as described on page 97. - Turn the backrest so that the front side faces up (see illustration above). file:///K|/ownersdocs/2007/2007_XC70/07xc70_04.htm (18 of 29)12/30/2006 5:51:33 PM
