Volkswagen Touareg II was officially presented for the first time on February 10, 2010 in Munich. The car was built on the basis of a shared floor plate shared with the Porsche Cayenne II. In relation to the first generation of the vehicle, the car is its more modern version. Changed, among others The front of the vehicle, where new headlamps, bumper, radiator grille and engine cover were used. In the rear part of the vehicle, the boot lid and lamps have been changed. The car is longer and lower than its predecessor and has a longer wheelbase. In mid-2014, the car underwent a facelift. Bi-xenon headlamps have been added to the standard vehicle equipment, which optionally can be supplemented with the Dynamic Light Assist system, which controls the apertures based on the camera readings so as not to dazzle other road users while offering the widest range of lights at any given time. The standard vehicle equipment includes leather steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, rain sensors, 17-inch alloy wheels and the Start & Stop system. Depending on the selected engine and equipment version, the retrofitted vehicle can also be with chrome body accessories, wooden interior trim, electrically adjustable seats with 12-way adjustment and heating, four-zone automatic climate control, electrically opened and closed boot lid, keyless system and 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as air suspension, bi-xenon headlamps with additional lighting curves and daytime running lights made in LED technology and satellite navigation system and TV receiver and panoramic roof.
