1998 C70 ● Check the tire pressure when refueling. ● The tire pressure should be corrected only when the tires are cold. ● With warm tires, correct only when the pressure is too low. The tire temperature rises after driving just a few miles. Vehicle Loading The tires on your Volvo will perform to specifications at all normal loads when inflated as recommended on the tire information label* located on the rear facing edge of the passenger's door. This label lists both the tire and vehicle design limits. Do not load your car beyond the load limits indicated. * Please note that the tire information label indicates pressures for both comfort and fuel economy. Uniform tire quality grading ALL PASSENGER CAR TIRES MUST CONFORM TO FEDERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS IN ADDITION TO THESE GRADES TREADWEAR The treadwear grade is a comparative rating based on the wear rate of the tire when tested under controlled conditions on a specified government test course. For example, a tire graded at 150 would wear one and one half (1 1/2) times as well on the government course as a tire graded 100. The relative performance of tires depends upon the actual conditions of their use, however, and many depart significantly from the norm due to variation in driving habits, service practices and differences in road characteristics and climate. TRACTION The traction grades, from highest to lowest, are AA, A, B, and C, as measured under controlled conditions on specified government test surfaces of asphalt and concrete.
