Heating and air conditioning system 97 • Open the air outlet vents 3 and 4 Recirculated air mode E • Switch on the air conditioning system by pressing button A In recirculated air mode air is sucked out of the interior of D • Switch on recirculated air mode by pressing button A. the vehicle and then fed back into the interior.  D • we recommend that you press the switch A - recirculated air mode - for a short time Recirculated air mode prevents polluted air outside the vehicle Optimum cooling from getting into the vehicle, for example when driving through a A tunnel or when standing in a traffic jam. • Control dial A at the desired heat temperature. This temperature will be maintained automatically. Switching recirculated air mode on • Blower switch B in position 1, 2, or 3 A • Turn the air distribution control C into the position  – Press button  ⇒page 95, fig. 86, the button symbol  A lights up. • Open the air outlet vents 3 and 4 • Switch on the air conditioning system by pressing button E A Switching recirculated air mode off • We recommend setting the air outlet vents 3 and 4 in such a way that   goes out. the air flows to the rear over the heads of the occupants. Do not press – Press button again, the button symbol button D - recirculated air mode. A Recirculated air mode is switched off automatically if the air distribution control C is in position  ⇒ page 95, fig. 86. You can also switch recir- Fresh air mode (ventilation) A Non pre-warmed fresh air streams through the air inlet nozzles 3 and 4 for culated air mode on again from this setting by repeatedly pressing button D . the following settings. A A • Turn the control dial A ⇒ page 95, fig. 86 to the left up to the stop B WARNING • Blower switch A in the desired position C You should not leave recirculated air mode on over a longer period • Turn the air distribution control A into the position  • Open air outlet vents 3 and 4 ⇒ page 98, fig. 87 of time. “Stale air” may result in fatigue in the driver and passen- D gers, reduce attention levels and also cause the windows to mist • Switch off the recirculated air mode by pressing button A. up.
