92 Doors driver's door had been previouslyXTopowercloseadoor:pushthedoorinto unlocked the lock up to the first detent position. Powerclosingwillpullthedoorfullyclosed. XTopowerclosethetrunklid:lightlypush Automaticlocking feature the trunk lid closed. The power closing function pulls the trunk lid closed. Unlocking the driver's door (mechanical key) closing If the vehicle can no longer be locked or and unlockedwiththeSmartKeyorKEYLESS-GO, use the mechanical key. XTakethemechanicalkeyoutofthe SmartKey (Y page 86). XTodisarm:pressandholdbutton:for Opening XInsert the mechanical key into the lock of about five seconds until a tone sounds. the driver's door as far as it will go. XToarm:pressandholdbutton;forabout five seconds until a tone sounds. iIfyoupressoneofthetwobuttonsand donothearatone,therelevantsettinghas already been selected. The vehicle is locked automatically when the ignition is switched on and the wheels are turning. Youcould therefore be locked out if: R the vehicle is being pushed. R the vehicle is being towed. XTurnthemechanicalkeycounter-clockwise R the vehicle is on a roller dynamometer.as far as it will go to position 1 and hold it in this position. iYoucanswitchtheautomaticlocking The locking knob pops up and the door functiononandoffusingCOMAND(seethe unlocks. separate operating instructions). XTurnthemechanicalkeybackandremove it. Powerclosing XInsert the mechanical key into the SmartKey. Powerclosing pulls the doors and trunk lid into their locks automatically even if they areIf you use the mechanical key to unlock and only partly closed. openthedriver's door, the anti-theft alarm systemwillbetriggered.Switchoffthealarm (Y page 81).
