Arming the System To arm the system, do the following: 1. Close the doors, the windows, the hood, and the trunk or liftgate. Ensure that the windows are closed, as the system can be armed even if the windows are open. 2. Turn the key to LOCK and remove the key from the ignition. • Thesecuritylight (A) will ﬂash once every second If the key is inserted in the ignition, the transmitterto indicate that the theft-deterrent system is will not arm the theft-deterrent system.armed.Thesecuritylight is located on the secondaryinformation center (SIC) on the center of the instrument panel. 2-15
