When you close the doors after you set the door locks, the doors remain locked. If the power mechanism ever fails, the manual door locks will override the power controls. [CF26600(ALL)01/96] NOTE: Vehicles equipped with power locks have a safety feature which allows you to unlock one or both front doors from either door key lock cylinder. To unlock the driver’s or passenger door only, insert the key in the door lock cylinder and turn to the left (counterclockwise) to the first position. To unlock the other door at the same time, simply continue turning the key to the left to the second position. Both doors are locked by turning the key to the right (clockwise). 76
