not hold battery compartment cover :
closed while doing so.
OpeningXRemovebatterycompartmentcover:.
XRepeatedly tap the SmartKey against your
palm until battery = falls out.
XInsertthenewbatterywiththepositiveter-
minal facing upwards. Use a lint-free cloth
to do so.
XMakesurethatthesurfaceofthebatteryis
freeoflint,greaseandothercontaminants.
XInsert the front tabs of battery compart-
mentcover:intothehousingandthen
press to close it.
XInsert mechanical key ; into the Smart-
Key (Y page 74).
XCheckthefunctionofallSmartKeybuttons
onthevehicle.
