Manual controls on the driver and front passenger seats Fig. 42 Controls on the left front seat. ¤ Please first read and note the introductory information and heed the WARNINGS The controls on the front passenger seat mirror those on the driver seat. There may be manual and electrical controls on the same seat. fig. 42 Function Action (1) Move the front seat for-Pull the lever up and move the front seat. The front seat ward or back. must lock in place after the lever is released! Folding forward: If necessary, unsnap the safety belt loop on the seat and guide the belt by hand as it retracts. Move the lever several times up or down. NOTICE x Do not use the safety belt loop to help fold the front seat backrest up and down. The safet y belt loop could break off or be damaged. x When adjusting the position of the front seats, make sure that the front seat backrests do not tilt back so far that they press against the wind blocker (when reclined, for example). This can damage the wind blocker, especially its locking mechanism. So as to be able reach their safety belts more easily, the driver and front passenger should make sure the belts runs through the belt loops before getting into the vehicle, Safety belts.
