numbersofatleast95RON(90CLCorAKI),sincetheengine’s“ElectronicOctane™knockcontrol”willadapttheignitiontiming,ifnecessary.

SomeareasoftheU.S.requireoxygenatedfuelsduringcertainportionsoftheyear. Oxygenatedfuelsarefuelswhichcontainalcohols(suchasmethanoloretha-
nol) or ether (such as MTBE).
Undernormalconditions,theamountofthesecompoundsinthefuelwillnotaffectdriveability.
YoumayuseoxygenatedfuelsinyourPorsche,providedtheoctanerequirementsforyourvehiclearemet. Werecommend,however,thatyouchangetoadiffer-

SomeNorthAmericanfuelscontainanoctaneenhancingadditivecalledmethylcyclopentadienylmanganesetricarbonyl(MMT).Ifsuchfuelsareused,youremis-
sioncontrolsystemperformancemaybenegativelyaffected. Thecheckenginewarninglightsonyourinstrumentpanelmayturnon. Ifthisoccurs,Porsche
recommendsyoustopusingfuelscontainingMMT.
