9-1. Technische Daten623 Ölviskosität (0W-20 dient hier als Beispiel zur Erklärung): Der 0W-Teil in 0W-20 bezeichnet die Kaltstarteigenschaft des Öls. Öle mit einem geringeren Wert vor dem W ermöglichen ein leichteres Starten des Motors bei Kälte. Die Zahl 20 in 0W-20 gibt die Viskositätseigenschaft des Öls bei einer hohen Öltemperatur an. Ein Öl mit höherer Viskosität (also mit einer höhe- ren Zahl) kann bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten oder unter extremen Lastbe- dingungen besser geeignet sein. Bedeutung der Kennzeichnungen auf Ölbehälter-Etiketten: Häufig sind auf Ölbehältern eine oder beide API-Kennzeichnungen ange- bracht, um Ihnen bei der Wahl des Öls zu helfen. 1 API-Service-Plakette Oberer Bereich: “API SERVICE SN” gibt die durch das American Petro- leum Institute (API) festgelegte Ölqua- lität an. Mittlerer Bereich: “SAE 0W-20” gibt die SAE-Viskositätsklasse an.
