Theft deterrent system Alarm The system sounds the alarm and flsa the lsheights when forcible entry is detected. ■Triggering of the alarm The alarm is triggered in the following situations when the alarm is set:1 ●A locked door is unlocked or opened in any way other than using the wireless remote control or key. Be f o ●The hood or rear hatch is opened. re d r i v ●The tilt sensor detects a change of vehicle inclination.ing ■Setting the alarm system Close the doors, rear hatch and hood, and lock both side doors. The system will be set automati- cally after 30 seconds. The indicator light changes from being on to flashing when the sys- tem is set. ■Deactivating or stopping the alarm Do one of the following to deactivate or stop the alarm. ●Unlock the doors. ●Start the engine. (The alarm will be deactivated or stopped after a few seconds.) 55 LFA_U
