This forces most of the hot, stale air out of the vehicle and helps the air conditioning cool the vehicle faster. [CF07350(ALL)01/96] MAXA/C [CF07400(ALL)01/96] When MAX A/C is selected, cooled interior air is recirculated through the system. This position is more efficient than NORM A/C. [CF07500(ALL)01/96] To cool your vehicle quickly in warm weather: * [CF07600(ALL)01/96] 1.Turn the function selector control to MAX A/C. [CF07700(ALL)01/96] 2.Turn the temperature control to the blue (cool) area. [CF07800(ALL)04/96] 3.Set the fan at the desired speed. [CF08000(ALL)03/96] Because MAX A/C uses recirculated air, MAX is usually more efficient than NORM A/C. You can switch to outside air NORM A/C at any time, especially after the vehicle has cooled down. [CF08100(ALL)03/96] You may notice a slight odor when using the MAXA/Cposition. This is normal. If the odor becomes annoying, switch the function selector to NORM A/C. [CF08200(ALL)01/96] To provide the most quiet operation when using MAXA/C, reduce the fan speed after a comfortable temperature has been reached. [CF08300(ALL)04/96] NORMA/C [CF08400(ALL)01/96] When maximum air conditioning is not needed, you can use the NORM A/C position to cool your vehicle with outside air. Cooling your vehicle this way brings in outside air and is quieter, but it is less efficient. 54
