Automatic Transmission Fluid Checkthefluidlevel with the engine DIPSTICK at normal operating temperature. 1. Park the vehicle on level ground. Start the engine, let it run until the radiator fan comes on, then shut off the engine. For accurate UPPER MARK results, wait about 60 seconds (but LOWERMARK nolongerthan90seconds)before doing step 2. DIPSTICK 2. Removethedipstick (yellow loop)3. Insert the dipstick all the way into fromthetransmission, and wipe itthe transmission securely asMaintenance with a clean cloth. shownintheillustration. 4.
