Replacing bulbs
License plate lamp Adjusting headlamp aim Correct headlamp adjustment is extremely
important. To check and readjust a head-
lamp, follow the steps described:
Park the vehicle on a level surface
25feet (7.6 m) from a vertical test
screen or wall.
Switch the headlamps on
( page 145).
If the beam does not show a beam pattern
as indicated in the figure left, then follow
1License plate lamp cover VVertical centerline the steps below:
2Screws HHeadlamp mounting height, measured Open hood ( page379).
Loosen screws 2. from the center
Remove license plate lamp cover 1.iHigh beam adjustments simultaneously aim
Replace the tubular bulb. the low beam.
Reinstall license plate lamp cover1.Vehicle should have a normal tailgate load.
Retighten screws 2.
