Ved en frontkollisjon med en person, for eksempel en fotgjenger, hever pan-
sersystemet den bakre delen av panseret for å redusere faren for alvorlige
skader på fotgjengerens hodeområde ved å gi klaring til motorrommet.
Åpningsmekanisme for panser som åpner seg
Når følerne som er plassert bak den øvre støtfangeren registrerer et sammenstøt
med en person, slik som en fotgjenger, som oppnår eller overgår terskelnivået
mens bilen kjører innenfor hastighetsområdet, aktiveres systemet og hever den
bakre delen av panseret.
