(Continued) Brake/Transmission Shift Interlock System •It is dangerous to shift out of PARK or NEUTRALThis vehicle is equipped with a Brake Transmission Shift if the engine speed is higher than idle speed. IfInterlock System(BTSI)thatholdstheshiftleverinPARK yourfootisnotfirmlypressingthebrakepedal,theunless the brakes are applied. To shift the transmission vehicle could accelerate quickly forward or in re-out of PARK, the ignition switch must be turned to the verse. You could lose control of the vehicle and hitON/RUNposition(enginerunningornot)andthebrake someone or something. Only shift into gear whenpedal must be pressed. the engine is idling normally and your foot isFive-Speed Automatic Transmission firmly pressing the brake pedal.
