Safety system of your vehicle WARNING Pre-tensioner seat belt (if equipped) The center lap belt latching mechanism is different from those for the rear seat shoulder belts. When fastening the rear seat shoulder belts or the cen- ter lap belt, make sure they are inserted into the correct buck- les to obtain maximum protec- tion from the seat belt system OLMB03309 and assure proper operation. To release the seat belt: When you want to release the seat OIB034039 belt, press the button (1) in the lock- Your vehicle is equipped with driver's ing buckle. and front passenger's pre-tensioner seat belts. The purpose of the pre- tensioner is to make sure that the seat belts fit tightly against the occu- pant's body in certain frontal colli- sions. The pre-tensioner seat belts may be activated in crashes where the frontal collision is severe enough. 2-22
