Seats Before folding either part of the rear seat, ensure that the outer rear seat belts are correctly stowed in their belt clips (see illustration). To avoid damaging the centre seat belt, roll the buckle neatly and stow it in the space provided at its anchor point in the centre of the rear seat. REARSEAT To fold either part of the rear seat, press the appropriate release button ’A’, then fold the backrest down to position 1. To further WARNING increase the loadspace, fold the backrest and DONOTadjustanypartofaseatwhiletheseat base together to position 2. vehicle is in motion. Whenreturningthe rear seat to its normal Ensure your fingers are clear of the seatposition, ensure that the backrest is securely latches when folding the rear seats.latched in place before driving. NOTE:Iftheseatbaseisnot fully latched in position it will not be possible to raise the Folding the rear seatsbackrest. Oneorbothpartsof the split rear seat can be either partially folded to provide a usefulWARNING horizontal surface or fully folded to further increase the rear loadspace.Whentheseatiserected,the latching mechanismshouldbevisuallycheckedand physically tested to ensure that the latch is secure before driving. 39
