Obey all legal requirements regarding handling and disposal of these batteries. Authorized Volkswagen dealers and authorized Volkswagen Service Facilities are familiar with the requirements, and we recommend that you have them perform this service for you. Synchronizing the remote control vehicle key ¤Please first read and note the introductory information and heed the WARNINGS If the 0button is pressed often while outside the operating range, it is possible that the vehicle cannot be locked or unlocked anymore with the remote control vehicle key. Synchronize the vehicle key as follows: x Unfold the key bit on the remote control vehicle key x Remove the cap from the door handle on the driver doo r x Press the0 button on the remote control vehicle key. Stand immediately next to vehicle while doing so. x Manually unlock the vehicle using the key bit within 1 minute. The synchronization is complete. x Reinstall the cap.
