ELECTRICAL ROTARYCOUPLER Refit Service repair no - 86.65.85 1. Fit rotary coupler and secure with screws. 2. Connect multiplugs to rotary coupler. CAUTION:SeeSRSsafetyprecautions 3. Removeretaining tape from rotary coupler. before commencementofrepair.See 4. Fit steering column nacelle. See STEERING, RESTRAINTSYSTEMS,Precautions. Repairs. • Ensurewheelsarealignedstraightahead.5. Fit steering wheel. See STEERING, Repairs. Remove 1. Removekeyfromstarterswitch, disconnect both battery leads, earth lead first, and wait 10 minutes for the SRS back-up power circuit to discharge before commencing work. 2. Removesteeringcolumnnacelle. See STEERING,Repairs. 3. Removesteeringwheel. See STEERING, Repairs. 4. If the rotary coupler is being re-used place adhesive tape around moulding to prevent rotation. 5. Disconnect 2 multiplugs from rotary coupler. 6. Remove4screwsandremoverotarycoupler. CAUTION:Donotdismantletherotary coupler, It has no serviceable parts and mustbereplacedasacompleteassembly.
