INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE Tightening (viewed from filter top) (For Diesel Engine Model) 5) Tighten the filter specified turn from the point of contact with the mounting sur- face (or to the specified torque) using an oil filter wrench. Tightening torque for oil filter (2) 3/4 turn or Gasoline engine: 14 Nm (1.4 kg-m, 10.3Ib-ft) Diesel engine: (1 ) 30 Nm (3.1 kg-m, 22.1 Ib-ft) NOTICE To prevent oil leakage, make sure 54G093 79J142 that the oil filter is tight, but do not (1) Oil filter (1) Loosen over-tighten it. (2) 3/4 turn (2) Tighten NOTICE To tighten the oil filter properly, it is Important to accurately identify the position at which the filter gasket first contacts the mounting surface. 7-19
