Heated steering wheel* Switching on Switching off
The steering wheel heating warms up the Switch on the ignition ( page 42). Turn switch at the tip of stalk in the
leather area of the steering wheel. Turn switch at the tip of stalk in the direction of arrow 3.
The stalk is on the lower left-hand side of direction of arrow 1.The heated steering wheel is switched
the steering wheel. The steering wheel is heated. Indicator off. Indicator lamp2 goes out.
lamp 2 comes on. iIndicator lamp 2 flashes or goes out
iThe steering wheel heating is turned off tem- in case of power surge or undervoltage
porarily and the indicator lamp 2 remains on in case of a steering wheel heating malfunc-

the temperature of the vehicle interior is iThe steering wheel heating switches off
above 86°F (30°C) automatically when you remove the SmartKey
the temperature of the steering wheel is from the starter switch or, on vehicles with
above 95°F (35°C) KEYLESS-GO*, when you switch off the ignition
When these conditions do not apply anymore, (page41) and open the drivers door.
