Practical hints Replacing bulbs Twist bayonet socket 5 counterclock- Insert new bulb in socket, push in and Side marker lamp bulb wise to the stop (do not remove).twist clockwise. Pull the bulb out of the socket. Reinsert bulb socket in lamp and twist Insert the new bulb so that the base clockwise. locates in the recess in bayonet Parking and standing lamp bulb socket 5. Twist bayonet socket clockwise until Switch off the lights. you hear it snap into place. Open the hood ( page 252). Plug the connector onto the bulb. Press the clamp and remove headlamp Align lamp cover 2 and click into cover 2. place. Pull out bulb socket 6 with the bulb. Switch off the lights. Pull the bulb out of bulb socket. Carefully slide lamp towards rear. Front turn signal lamp bulb Remove front end first. Switch off the lights. Insert a new bulb in the socket. Reinstall bulb socket. Twist bulb socket counterclockwise Open the hood ( page 252). and pull out. Twist bulb socket 1 counterclockwise Align headlamp cover 2 and click into Pull bulb out of the bulb socket. and pull out. place. Insert new bulb in socket. Push bulb into socket, turn counter- Reinstall bulb socket, push in and twist clockwise and remove. clockwise. To reinstall lamp, set rear end in bumper and let front end snap into place. 314
