DRIVER SUPPORT || Automatic standby mode Reactivating Pilot Assist from standby• Distance Alert* (p. 269) Pilot Assist interacts with other systems, such asmode Electronic Stability Control. If any of these other systems are not functioning properly, Pilot Assist will automatically be deactivated. WARNING If this happens, the driver will be alerted by an audible signal and a message in the instru- ment panel. The driver will have to adapt the vehicles speed, apply the brakes when nec- essary and keep a safe distance to the vehicle ahead.
