If the indicator lamp is on, andremainlitaftertheself-di OCS(OccupantClassification System) has disabled the front- passenger front air bag (Y page 52) RtheFront Passenger Airbag Enabled See Operator's ManualorFront Passenger Airbag Disabled See Opera‐ tor's Manualdisplaymessagesmustnotbeshowninthemul- tifunction display XWaitforaperiodofatleast60secondsuntilthenecessarysystem checks have been completed. XMakesurethatthedisplaymessagesdonotappearinthemulti- function display. If these conditions are fulfilled, the front-passenger seat can be occu- pied again. Whether the PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF or ON indicator lampremainslitorgoesoutdependsonhowOCSclassifiestheoccu- pant. If the conditionsarenotfulfilled,thesystemisnotoperatingcorrectly. XVisit a qualified specialist workshop immediately. ForfurtherinformationabouttheOccupantClassificationSystem,see (Y page 52).
