Maintenance G050800AUN G051200AUN G051600ASA Air cleaner filter Coolant Brake fluid A Genuine KIA air cleaner filter is recom-The coolant should be changed at theCheck the brake fluid level in the brake mended when the filter is replaced.intervals specified in the maintenancefluid reservoir. The level should be schedule. between “MIN” and “MAX” marks on the G050900AUN side of the reservoir. Use only hydraulic Spark plugs (for gasoline engine) G051300AUN brake fluid conforming to DOT 3 or DOT Manual transaxle fluid 4 specification. Make sure to install new spark plugs of the correct heat range. (if equipped) G051700AUN Inspect the manual transaxle fluid Parking brake G051000AUN according to the maintenance schedule. Valve clearance (if equipped) Inspect the parking brake system includ- G051400AUN ing the parking brake lever and cables. Inspect excessive valve noise and/or Automatic transaxle fluid engine vibration and adjust if necessary. G051800APA An authorized KIA dealer should perform(if equipped) the operation. Rear brake drums and linings The fluid level should be in the "HOT" (if equipped) range of the dipstick, after the engine Check the rear brake drums and linings G051100AUN and transaxle are at normal operating for scoring, burning, leaking fluid, broken Cooling system temperature. Check the automatic parts, and excessive wear. transaxle fluid level with the engine run- Check the cooling system components, such as radiator, coolant reservoir, hosesning and the transaxle in neutral, with the parking brake properly applied. G051900AUN and connections for leakage and dam- age. Replace any damaged parts. Brake discs, pads, calipers and G051500AUN rotors Brake hoses and lines Check the pads for excessive wear, discs Visually check for proper installation,for run out and wear, and calipers for fluid chafing, cracks, deterioration and anleakage.y leakage. Replace any deteriorated or damaged parts immediately. 7 22
