Operating the lights and wipers269 ■Light reminder buzzer Vehicles without a smart entry & start system A buzzer sounds and a message appears when the engine switch is turned off or turned to the “ACC” position and the driver’s door is opened while the lights are turned on. Vehicles with a smart entry & start system A buzzer sounds and a message appears when the engine switch is turned off or turned to ACCESSORY mode and the driver’s door is opened while the lights are turned on. ■Automatic headlight leveling system (vehicles with LED headlights) The level of the headlights is automatically adjusted according to the number of passengers and the loading condition of the vehicle to ensure that the headlights do not interfere with other road users. ■Battery-saving function In the following conditions, the remaining lights will go off automatically after 20 minutes in order to prevent the vehicle battery from being discharged: ●The headlights and/or tail lights are on. 4 ●Vehicles without a smart entry & start system: The engine switch is turned to the “ACC” position or turned off. D r iv Vehicles with a smart entry & start system: The engine switch is turned to in ACCESSORY mode or turned off. g ●The light switch is in or . This function will be canceled in any of the following situations: ●Vehicles without a smart entry & start system: When the engine switch is turned to the “ON” position. Vehicles with a smart entry & start system: When the engine switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode. ●When the light switch is operated. ●When a door is opened or closed. ■If “Headlight system malfunction visit your dealer” is displayed on the multi-information display The system may be malfunctioning. Have the vehicle inspected by any autho- rized Toyota retailer or Toyota authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer. ■Customization Settings (e.g. light sensor sensitivity) can be changed.
