Verwenden der Fahrerassistenzsysteme ∗ PCS (Pre-Crash-Sicherheitssystem) Wenn der Radarsensor einen möglichen Frontalzusammenstoß erkennt, wer- den die Pre-Crash-Sicherheitssysteme wie Bremsen und Sicherheitsgurte automatisch aktiviert, um den Aufprall sowie Schäden am Fahrzeug zu ver- mindern. ◆ Pre-Crash-Sicherheitsgurte (nur Vordersitz-Sicherheitsgurte) Erkennt der Pre-Crash-Sensor eine unvermeidliche Kollision, strafft das Pre- Crash-Sicherheitssystem den Sicherheitsgurt, bevor der Aufprall stattfindet. Dies erfolgt ebenfalls, wenn der Fahrer eine Notbremsung durchführt oder die Kontrolle über das Fahrzeug verliert. (→S. 41) Wenn jedoch das VSC-System deaktiviert ist, arbeitet das System nicht, wenn das Fahrzeug ins Schleudern gerät. ◆ Pre-Crash-Bremsassistent Bei einer hohen Wahrscheinlichkeit eines Frontalzusammenstoßes bringt das System eine höhere Bremskraft im Verhältnis zur Stärke, mit der das Brem- spedal getreten wird, auf. ◆ Pre-Crash-Bremssystem Bei einer hohen Wahrscheinlichkeit eines Frontalzusammenstoßes warnt das System den Fahrer mithilfe einer Warnleuchte, einer Warnanzeige und eines Warnsummers. Wenn das System feststellt, dass eine Kollision unvermeidlich ist, werden die Bremsen automatisch betätigt, um die Aufprallgeschwindig- keit zu reduzieren.
