Checking andReplacing Fuses FUSE BLOWN
If something electrical in your BLOWN
vehicle stops working, the first thing
youshouldcheckforisablownfuse.
Determinefromthechartonpages
261 and 262,orthediagramonthe
fuseboxlid,whichfuseorfuses
control that device. Check those
fuses first, but check all the fuses
before deciding that a blown fuse is
the cause. Replace any blown fuses,
andcheckif the device works.
1. Turntheignitionswitchtothe 3. Check each of the large fuses in
LOCK(0)position.Makesurethe the primary under-hood fuse box
headlights and all other bylooking through the top at the
accessories are off. wire inside. Remove the screws
with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
2. Remove the cover from the fuse
box.
