Supplementary Restraints System KNEE AIRBAG The curtain airbag will deploy during significant lateral collisions. It will also WARNING deploy during significant frontal angled Do not attempt to open the airbagcollisions. The curtain airbag will not cover. deploy in minor lateral and frontal collisions, rear collisions, or overturns. The airbag will deploy during frontal collisions or collisions that are up to 30 degrees from the left or the right. The airbag will inflate within a few thous andths of a second and deflate on contact with the occupants, thus providing a cushion between the driver’s kne es and the steering column. During overturns, rear collisions and side c ollisions, the kne e airb ag will not deploy. For item location: See At a Glance (page 8). Note:The airbag has a lower deployment threshold than the front airbags. During a minor collision, it is possible that only the knee airbag will deploy. SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS Curtain airbags are located over the front and rear side windows. 24
