Stopping the engine
Vehicles with a Multidrive
1 Stop the vehicle.
2 Set the parking brake (P. 258), and shift the shift lever to P.
If the parking brake is in automatic mode, the parking brake is set automat-
ically when shifting the shift lever to P. (P. 256)
3 Press the engine switch.
4 Release the brake pedal and check that “ACCESSORY” on the
multi-information display is off.
Vehicles with a manual transmission
1 While depressing the clutch pedal, stop the vehicle.
2 Shift the shift lever to N.
3 Set the parking brake. (P. 258) 4
If the parking brake is in automatic mode, the parking brake is set automat-
