lever and windshleld wiper/washer To indicate your intenlion when chang-
lever ing lanes on
There are two levers just behind the
steering wheel:
The lever on the lall Ilde Is for the turn
sfgnalfheadlight dimmer switch.
The lever on the right side is lor the
windshletd wiper/washer system.
The turn signalS and the wlndshletd
wipers only work wllh the Ignition on.

lever down _Ien turn signal
The green turn slgflal Indicator light In
the speedometer dial comes on when
you
operate the lever.
The turn signals are cellcelled automati-
cally when you have completed a turn
(like driving around a corner). and the
steering wheel returns to the straight-
ahead position.
If a turn signal is defective, the control
hghl flashes at about twice the normal
frequency. Have your Authorized VW
18 Dealer check and repair it for you.
