CHECKS RUNNING OUT OF FUEL Pr iming the fuel system (DIESEL) In the event of running out of fuel:  after ﬁ lling (minimum 5 litres), squeeze the manual priming pump repeatedly, until some re- sistance is felt,  then operate the starter, gently pressing the accelerator until the engine starts. If the engine fails to start at the ﬁ rst attempt, wait 15 seconds before try- ing again. If the engine fails to start after a few attempts, repeat the procedure from the beginning. When the engine is 1 .6 litre HDi engine 2 .0 litre HDi engine idling, accelerate gently to complete the purge of the circuit.
