Insufficient oil in pump.Top up the power-assisted steering fluid (see information on Power-assisted steering pump in Section 4). If the fault is still present, contact a RENAULT Dealer. The engine overheats. The coolant tem-Coolant pump: belt stretched or broken.Stop the vehicle and switch off the perature warning light illuminates.Engine cooling fan not working.engine. Consult a RENAULT Dealer. Coolant leaks. Check the condition of hoses and clips. Check the coolant reservoir: it should contain some coolant. If it does not, top it up (once it has cooled) . Take care not to scald yourself. This action is only tem- porary: consult your RENAULT Dealer as soon as possible. Radiator: in the event of a very low water level, remember that it must not be topped up with cold water when the engine is very hot. After any procedure on the vehicle which has involved even partial draining of the cooling system, it must be refilled with a new mixture prepared in the correct proportions. Reminder: only products approved by RENAULT’s Technical Department may be used for this purpose. 5.37 _UD0_
