Transmission positions
using the DIRECT SELECT lever.
B Parkposition
All vehicles (except AMG vehicles)
Donotshift the transmission into
position P(Y page 190) unless the
vehicle is stationary. The parking
lock should not be used as a brake
whenparking. Always apply the
electronic parking brake in
additiontotheparkinglockinorder
to secure the vehicle.
If the vehicle electronics are
malfunctioning, the transmission
maybelockedinposition P. Have
the vehicle electronics checked
